After you've imported the entries into Lifecraft, you can change your system language back to its original setting. If your Mac is set to a non-English language, follow these steps before you export from Day One Classic. Select the Zip file that was created in the Export step above.Follow the instructions, then click Start Import. Choose File > Import > Day One 2 (JSON).Make sure the File Format is set to 'JSON in Zip (.zip)'.If you want to export all journals, click All Entries. In the Journal Pane, click the journal you want to export.When the import process is complete, navigate to your Journal List and you should see all of the journals that were imported from Day One. After the file is unzipped, you'll see the progress as the entries are imported into Lifecraft. This may take a while depending on the size of the export file. Lifecraft will first try to unzip the export file. Locate the '-DayOne.zip' file that you saved earlier and select it.Select the weather units (Fahrenheit or Celsius).

In Lifecraft, you can choose to leave them in the entry text or add them to the Media Gallery that appears at the top of the entry. In Day One, photos are embedded in the entry text. Select Add Photos to Media Gallery if desired.If your Day One journal entries normally start with a bold title line, select Auto Title First Line.For example, you might save it to your 'Documents' folder on iCloud Drive.Īn export file that looks like '-DayOne.zip' will be saved to your iCloud drive. Tap Save to Files and choose a location for the export file.
